These are the house rules for using Gloatroom. They're short on purpose. If something here is unclear, ask us via the support page before relying on it.
The service
Gloatroom gives your fantasy league a shared Room: a scoreboard built from leagues you run on Gloatroom and read-only copies of leagues you imported, a group chat, and a permanent league history. It's currently free. We may add paid features later; anything already free won't silently become paid underneath you.
Your account
You need to be at least 13 years old (or the digital-consent age where you live). You're responsible for what happens through your sign-in method: keep your email and phone secure, since they are the keys to your account.
Your content
What you post in your Room is yours. You give us the limited license needed to store and show it to your Room, that's the entire use. Rooms are private by design: don't post anything illegal, don't harass people, don't upload content you have no right to share. Commissioners can remove members; we can remove content or accounts that break these rules.
League data and platforms
Sleeper leagues connect for NFL and NBA. Yahoo, ESPN and other providers do not connect. MLB and NHL have no provider connection. Connect reads Sleeper's public API using the username or numeric ID you enter. The username is not verified as yours. When you connect a Sleeper league, you confirm you are a member of that league and may share its data with your Room. We read and store league names, league settings, rosters, team names, standings, weekly matchup scores, trades, and waiver and add/drop transactions, including roster and player IDs. This includes past seasons back to 2017 where available. We read members' public display names and team names to label teams. For your link, we store the username, user ID, display name and avatar URL. League data refreshes on a schedule. Imported Sleeper league data belongs to the Room and is kept while the Room exists. Disconnecting removes your link, including the stored username and ID, but does not delete league data. Imported leagues keep refreshing from Sleeper's public data after you disconnect. Your claimed team stays linked to your account in the Room. Deleting your account removes your link, not the Room's shared history. Historical Yahoo imports remain preserved; Gloatroom does not create Yahoo connections, does not refresh them and does not use them. Provider data stays a read-only copy. We never write lineups, trades, or waiver claims back to any platform. Gloatroom is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Yahoo, Sleeper, ESPN, or any fantasy platform; their names belong to them.
No warranties, sensible limits
Gloatroom is provided as-is. Scores and standings can lag or be wrong, whether they come from a league run on Gloatroom or from a third-party feed. Nothing here is betting advice, and we're not liable for decisions made on it. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you've paid us for the service (currently: zero).
Ending things
You can leave a Room or stop using Gloatroom any time; account deletion is available via support. We can suspend accounts that break these terms. If we ever shut the service down, we'll give commissioners reasonable notice and a way to export their league history first.
Governing law and changes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, USA. If we change these terms materially, we'll announce it in the app before it takes effect; the date above always reflects the current version.
